Laptop on knee, Wimbledon on the TV, both dogs sleeping after long walks, view of the beach out of the window, resident seal on his rock, highland cattle paddling in the sea - bliss!

^ Yeah... I vividly remember curtailing a camping trip in summer of 2009 because of a massive tornado storm coming our way. We were towing our trailer, stopped by a comfort centre trying to ride the storm out but decided to just get the hell out. Just as well we did because the exact area we were stopped at was hit within half an hour. Shudder to think.

Off to a bike ride this afternoon followed by dinner and drinks tonight. All happening in downtown though I must say, am a bit worried as there are one too many things going on (Canada Day, the final footie match, Pride parade etc) in downtown today. I am most worried about the footie match - whether Italy wins or loses, the fans may just become a bit more obnoxious regardless. There's been a shooting a couple of weeks ago in Little Italy already while Italy was still playing one of their earlier rounds matches. So for the sake of that, I'd like Spain to win.  We are probably better off biking in one of the Islands.
