Of all the accents for her to have to decipher I've got an awful accent and talk too fast so I can't really say anything

It's your duty to deKiwi her, Bev. You want a daughter in law who can "eh oop" with the best of them. I didn't think your kids were that old to be girlfriending.

True. But its the 2nd paycut in 6 months and I've also lost hours at work too. I've never made this little money a month since I started working 7 years ago.
I'm on job seekers which is £50 a week which you get every two weeks so I'm still waiting for my first lot. I'm thinking of applying for part time retail work because I'll probably be on more money doing that plus I ain't sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

Means giving up my weekends but at times like these you gotta make sacrifices.

The Kiwi's are crap at accents - Scottish, Yorkshire, Cockney, they all sound the same to me but they think they're funny Son will be 18 this year

Hazel and Amy, I really feel for you. And Mike, are things that bad in Tenerife? Tourists dropping off? I keep telling my kids that have part-time jobs here, how lucky they are.

Oh dear. I like that you'll take work though Amy. Plenty around me seem to content to sit around hoping a job will drop from the skies. Best of luck. It's awful when you cant follow the career path you want to.
