Had the dogs out for a walk. They are my daughter's both cairn terriers Jock is three and Millie 5 months. Mildred when she is naughty she is a terror and keeps pulling. So exhausted when I got home think I may have to get a choke chain, I'm not keen about that but don't know any other way to stop her from pulling.

I had a puppy like that years ago Lb. Every time he pulled I turned round for a couple of steps then turned back again. Sometimes I made him sit for a minute before we moved on. He soon got fed up with that and stopped pulling. The drawback is the dogs would have to be walked separately. Also I lived on a country road so there was no-one to see the silly walking. I'm sure there are now whistles or some other training gadgets for this problem.

I have always had cairns. My own cairn Cuillin is 16 years old and is soo grumpy with her. He snapped at her and she keeps out of his road now. Jock my daughters other dog is a sweatheart but she drives me mad. She is sleeping at last now I can get the house tidied up. I am getting too old now to control two dogs at once but I'll give what you say a try. Thanks for the advice Iluvandy.

Cleaned up as usual and I am getting ready to dish up dinner in a little while. Roast Beef, roast potatoes and mixed veg. Followed by ice cream and apple tart. Then maybe I can have a sit down.

Tennis coaching, 20 length swim, sweeped up outside my front door, walked to hotel with hubby for Sunday dinner, walked back. Now I'm knackered!!!
