Starfleet (just released on DVD 9th Feb) - anyone remember it?
It comprised of 24 episodes in a series and was shown on Saturday mornings starting late '82. It was a puppet series similar to Thunderbirds but done in Japan and dubbed into English but with space battles, princesses, heroes - all similar to Star Wars. Enjoying watching it again
(Search on YouTube under Starfleet to get some extracts including opening and closing titles). Brian May also did a cover of the closing theme and is also available on YouTube. (Think it got to number 35)

Summary
=======
All along the last century, thousands of people disappeared. Suddenly, in an inexplicable manner, 4400 of these people reappeared at the same time, without aging, unchanged.
