Yes... we got the idea of having a game... having a game that involves prediction, that is it, nothing else.

You can't put a patent on all prediction games [obviously] but you can possibly patent RTR because it involves inventing a game format with rules.

I think it's got heated in here because of the work involved in RTR making it a sensitive subject unsure

Pettiness is not the way to win an arguement or indeed get anywhere in a discussion. As far as I can see it's pretty simple, Cate thought you were gonna steal the idea of RTR for AM.com (which I must say would be quite stupid cause it takes so much organising and you can so easily play it over here) and got pretty hurt by it because it did take so much work and organisation. in actual fact all you guys wanted to do was start up some kind of prediction competition between yourselves. Nothing stopping you doing it, it's not an original or copyrighted idea, just very tried and tested and working in the form of RTR.

At the end of the day you're arguing over a misunderstanding, and although I can understand why you are both annoyed by it, it's really not worth falling out over.

So you're agreeing with me Mark? What Cate was saying was that RTR came first, which it didnt!
That was all I was saying! I understand your frustration at AM.com trying to copy RTR, but if they are to develop their own game from RTR. Then thats OK!  How many different ways to predict scorelines are there?

I don't know!

All I know is I had the idea of a prediction game onMW before the Penn contest but never followed through to get a discussion going... soon after the Penn contest started I wanted to get some game invented based on predicting matches. RTR is not based on anything other than something called "prediction" so I think some may of misunderstood various comments thinking people were suggesting that we actually used other people's ideas which we didn't.

Man, I can't believe that one comment abot starting up a predictions thing could cause so much problem. All we ant to do on AM.com was start up a predictions thing.

Thanks, I think we'll just start it small and see what happens. We do have to think about it, but as said before about the actual prediction side of things, there aren't many ways you can predict the outcome.

Its not going to happen over there, becuase, no offence to the guys over at Am.com, but the consistant posters are like 6 or something! I wouldn't worry about it.
