Brown lends his weight
The PM gets behind the idea of the Home Internationals returning next summer. Come on Scotland!

Wheres the fun in that?
The Scots should stick to making whiskey and the English should stick to making Champagne then we'll all be merry

I support this idea - it will certainly ease the pain.

I don't think it'll ease the pain, but i'm all for it - otherwise i'll be bored in the summer, also it'll be a real chance for England to win something for once, and for Scotland too...
But i'm 90% sure it won't happen, England won't agree to it, they'd rather try and arrange friendlys - maybe with brazil and argentina, something like that.

BBC are reporting that the home internationals are set to come back next year, but without England. As it is, the two Irish teams, Scotland and Wales would play.
If England want to join they have one week to come to an agreement.

Tbh, if Scotland don't want anything to do with a British team at the London Olympics, then why should we have anything to do with something they push for?
That aside, like I said somewhere else, I'd love to have a Home Nations competition to look forward to like the 6 Natioins. I see no reason at all why it couldn't be done every 2 years in the summer between the World Cup and Euro years. It would take no more than 3 or 4 weeks to do. Play games Saturdays and Wednesdays and it's over in no time.

We already know why we can't have a british team at the olympics. If England don't want to play in a Home nations tournament, then they are idiots. Scotland after all, are now at the same level according to the rankings and England should be trying to show they are the better team. What's the point in playing friendlies against Brazil or Argentina when they are just going to lose anyway.
I reckon England are just afraid of losing
