Read this following article in today's metro. What do people think of disabled athletes competing in regular events?

I'm also a fan of Richard Whitehead Smile

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

I admire Pistorius, but there's no way he should be in the regular Olympics. Apart from anything else (like the blades returning energy), not having calf muscles means he won't get the build-up of lactic acid there that inhibits performance.

I think I agree. But I think its fantastic he and others are at the same level of fitness of regular athletes. But if they merged all into it would be a mess, because when do you draw the line? Richard Whitehead ran the london marathon in just over three hours, if I remember rightly, thats incredible! Thats when I started taking an interest in his career.
