If we win we'll be 6 points ahead! Of course we can pip france! ALthough they will probably hammer us in paris on the return fixture........ We have to rely on italy beating them in rome!

Not forgetting Ukraine of course. They could do us a massive favour by holding France or Italy to a draw in Kiev. Smile

We need to beat the lesser teams aswell. Take as much points from the easier games as possible. Smile

Caldwell puts France to the sword

Just another match report on the BBC, Enjoy! Particular funny though!

"A few minutes later Henry had another chance from a free-kick.

But this time his effort was comfortably saved and he ended up on his derriere after slipping on the sodden turf"

"All the nervous tension of defending on the edge of your box in the face of stiff French attacks suddenly exploded - Hampden was suddenly a raging sea of Lion Rampants, saltires and kilts. "

yea.... usa was like 7th for the world cup... but CONCACAF is a joke.....

The ranking system was changed in August 2006 after the world cup.

The United States of America are now ranked as 29th in the world, a much more realistic position.

For us to go 6 points clear we would also need the Faroe Isles to beat France in Paris on Wednesday, not very likely but after Saturday Whistle

Wednesday Fixtures

Group B

France v Faroe Isles
Georgia v Italy
Ukraine v Scotland

If Georgia can get a point (or three)  off Italy and we take something in the Ukraine it would go a long way to us getting through this group.

If Faroes beat France on Wednesday, then I will eat 10 cucumbers.  cmon yeah

I'm praying that Georgia might be able to hold Italy to a draw. It's not easy to go to the former Soviet countries and win. Smile

Lol! That could actually happen! So if they win it's 10 + number of faroe goals = number of cucumbers?

It is indeed. I'm confident that Coupet will keep a clean sheet though. Smile Little tongue man
