So sorry to hear that the young man who was struck by the ball has died! His poor family! Feel sorry for the bowler too! I'm sure he'll feel bad although it wasn't his fault.....just one of those freak accidents!

The world cup begins in Australia and New Zealand this weekend, with the opener at the MCG pitching Australia vs England and already the banter has started. Rolling Eyes

Looking forward to it. Going to the 2 England games in Wellington (vs Sri Lanka and NZ), sitting in the England fans zone.

Went to the England team welcome in Wellington tonight and got the whole squad's autographs which was pretty cool.

I did think of you when they said they were welcoming the England team in Wellington last night on the news.

That was one of the worst things I've ever experienced in my life. You don't always expect an epic close match but you at least don't expect to be home for dinner when you go to a day night match. Second time it's happened to me watching England too. First was 2007 in Adelaide against Australia and I didn't think I'd ever see as bad as that again but this was worse. Going to the match against Sri Lanka next weekend too but can't really face it at the moment.

Bangladesh getting a point against Australia due to rain today means we probably won't make the quarter final either. That's probably for the best though to save going through something similar to yesterday against South Africa. It would also be in Wellington (assuming we'd be 4th in the pool) which means I'd go and put myself through it again.
