I'm actually pleased for Celtic - if they hadn't went through, the co-efficient was dead in the water, and under the current system, it's hard to claw it back.

Great to see Celtic back in the CL again. Always had a preference for them over Rangers, never really been sure why.

Rangers won't be in Europe for a while so I wouldn't be too pleased for them!

Nope, but Rangers need the co-efficient to be as strong as possible when we do return to the top table.

Well we carried the flag for 2/3 years just there. Celtic haven't been in the group stages for 4 years amigo.

Steven Gerrard really is past it isn't he? That was just an embarrassing performance.
Reina too although to be fair he's really been living off that FA Cup final for several seasons now.

Gerrard's days of playing two games in a week are long gone.
I felt very sorry for Joe Allen - tried his best in a midfield three where Sahin and Gerrard were absolute passengers. Diaby and Arteta ran the show.

Liverpool needs to give Rodgers some time. They are changeing managers way too often. They haven't been bad in the match. The pressing game was good and they managed to keep posession, but they lack a striker who can old up the ball. Maybe they shouldn't let Caroll go that easy. Alen was good, Sahin needs to get used to the PL, he didn't play that much in the last year, but he's a good player.
On the other side, Arsenal's defence improved and that's good to see. Diaby was decent, but it looks like he's a bit afraid from chalanges. He took his foot back a few times, avoiding his oponent. Hope he gets a decent spell without injuries, so he gains some self-confidence. It's the start of the season, so a lot questions to be answered.

The Chairmen appoint a new manager with a totally different brand of football in the hope to make them play more attractive football, then after about 6 months get impatient and to decide to sack them off.
Chelsea were the worst. Different give AVB any time at all, sacked him off then actually finished lower, but they won the Champions League so it's alright. Right? Short-term gain for long-term loss.
It'll take Rodgers at least 2 years to get Liverpool playing his brand of football. Will he get that long? Course not. I doubt he'll last the season.
