I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Basically, the frames go one of two ways: Murphy gets a long pot and clears up. OR, one of them scatters the reds, misses one, but the white goes safe and it gets scrappy. Then Bingham picks his way through the carnage. It's fascinating.

I like both players. Murphy is a good sportsman and seems like a good guy. His long pots are sensational. I like the way Bingham keeps chipping away, like a cross between Hercule Poirot and a woodpecker. It's good attacking stuff. Way better than last year's final.
lmao Good description Nigel! I like both men too and though I'd like Bingham to win it, whoever manages it in the end, will be a worthy winner! Very Happy Best final I've seen in a long time!

Bingham's comeback here has been sensational. For someone who has never won a ranking event on British soil, this is ridiculous.

I want to see Murphy win it. Not so keen when you get random winners in big events. Do you remember Joe Johnson?

Yes Nigel.....he beat Steve Davis in the WC final and I don't think he ever won anything else after that! He was the best man on that day though, so deserved the win! Shrug

Stunning tournament and final performance from Stuart Bingham. He's no longer a floater in the draw.

Great tournament, great final, a compelling, pivotal 31st frame, a lesson in how to lose graciously and a popular winner. What more can you ask for?

Nothing Nigel! Great tournament indeed and I was gobsmacked when Selby went out, followed by O'Sullivan and Trump! My money would've been on one of those or else Murphy! I think winning is a life changer, even if it never happens again and that's why I was rooting for Bingham, but was a bit sad to hear Murphy say he wished he hadn't won it so young, because he didn't appreciate it enough at the time! I reckon he'll get another chance though! Very Happy Can't wait till next year! w00t
