Be great if it could be replicated for a 3rd week in a row.
At the biggest one, the US Open!
Well done Graeme McDowell
First European to win the US Open in 40 years and First Brit to win a major for almost 11 years.

Pity that the British not-winning curse at majors/grand slams continues.
Not any more.

Great stuff. Didn't even realise this was going on until the 4th round. The World Cup has taken over my life. Wimbledon will take a back seat too I'm afraid.

A large winning margin of 7 shots for South African Louis Oosthuizen.
McIlroy still finished tied for 3rd despite a 2nd round 80.

Yeah it's a shame for the Brits, but quite a showing from that dude (I wont bother trying to spell it!) Stupid wind too... Poor McIlroy, but he'll have his time

Amazing for such a relatively unknown guy who'd never won anything to obliterate the whole field like that.
Westwood must be absolutely sick of it and you could clearly see it in his face when he was called up to the presentation for the runner up trophy. Second every bloody year. Although he was never really in it this time, just found himself 2nd after Casey imploded.

Thanks Daisy. It adds a new meaning to the "Wind Factor".
It is true that with golf, if someone is unlucky and gets lots of gusts of wind, then this can really ruin their round unless they can drive the ball low to the ground.
