Really should have been 0-0. Despite what I considered a valiant second half from the boys in blue, they didn't exactly look like scoring.

Erikkson messed up with the tactics once again, so a lot of the blame can be shifted onto him. Hey, at least they got the three points.

All in all, a pretty piss-poor game.

England did dominate possesion which was pretty good, but England did not play well at all... they need to step it up if they are going to beat Trinidad... seriously trinidad played amazing today.

England needed to step it up from the word go...  Think

At this rate we're not going to get any where.

Trinidad and Tobago have always been a good team. England will have work to do.  =D> =D>

T&T lost 2-1 to Wales! :P

No offence to the Welsh (wouldn't dare! Whistle), but I think England will beat 'em! Wink

However I do agree England have work to do. Kinda screwed up towards the end I thought.

T+T played great , i was cheering them all the way , good result from englands view , now the top of our group , but we will need 2 play alot better than we did today inorder to win. and on todays performance there is no chance we can beat the best in the world. I think david and lampard played great today along with joe cole. I didnt think that Crouch was up 2 much and thats not just coz im biased and dont like him he just wasnt playing well !

At the moment i am watching Argantina and The ivory coast which i think is going to be a great game ,its funny coz its Drogba V crespo lol and they are usually on the same team

yeah totally agree!i thought Beckham played great too, and Crouch didn't play his best. they are going to certainly have to step up their game if they want to get somewhere. but still we won Wink

I had it on mute. But - usually the English go nuts and scream. Hope it happens as we get closer to victory though.  :P

So tired. Stayed up to watch it live, 1am kickoff. I managed to stay awake, although the last 15 minutes were a bit of a struggle, especially as it wasn't the most exciting game.
We were pretty mediocre, didn't really create anything other than a couple of long range efforts from Lampard. The ref was a bit of joker though. He kept calling Crouch for fouls every single time he won the ball. Ridiculous. And gave him a stupid yellow card.
Owen was invisible, can't even remember him touching the ball tbh. Downing coming on for him was a pretty bizarre substitution I thought. And quite early aswell. He's only in the squad because he plays for Middlesbrough anyway.
The Sweden game was a much more exciting game to watch. Good result for us, it was nice to see Trinidad get a result. We will need to be a lot better than we were today to beat them. Sweden created enough chances though so I would imagine we will create a few. Just need to make sure we take 1 or 2 of them, or hope that Shaka Hislop has an off day.

Haven't watched the Argentina match and don't even know the result. Too much study to do. Recorded the highlights show this morning (approx 45 min highlights of each game) so I'll watch the highlights of it when I have my lunch soon.
