Right im sorry. confused

But at present.. seriously.. i know more about Rooney's foot than the Blair's cabinet here. (as our school teachers say Wink)

It's like the whole of the team depends on him. Im not saying we don't need him - but it seems to me that the whole team is based on Rooney (or as the papers make it out like.)

Everyone knows we've not got much chance for the semis, never mind winning the whole thing.

They need to just get on with the matches. Play as a team. Do their best. Train. Listen to their coaches. Use the players they have!

No one will blame them for trying their best! But i just feel this whole Sven and Rooney's foot thing is getting over the top.

Right that's me done. Sorry. Embarassed Rolling Eyes

But. C'MON ENGLAND! Just the last stretch to getting to the next leg.  =D> =D>

^Good post. I never want to hear about his foot again!

Personally I think Sven should have brought Rooney on for the last few minutes against Paraguay... Whistle lol

^ spoken like a true Scot there!  Wink

I think that Julia is definately right.  1 person does not make the team.  I see they are complaining about the heat.  Wasn't it hot in 2002 World Cup?  How did they cope with that one?  Seems like they've got their excuses ready.

Having watched some of the other games, I can't see England beating too many of those teams. Italy, Czech Republic, Ghana, Holland, even Australia all looked better than England in their opening match.
Italy brought Del Piero on off the bench, and look at Australia's subs. We put on Stuart "Run in a straight line for 10 metres and lose the ball" Downing.

Anyway, on topic, Rooney is out of the match.

We 'should' win this game, but that doesn't mean anything.
Let's be optimistic and say 2-0. Draw won't suprise me though.

And the band played believe it if you like! England were, if anything, average on Saturday. Certainly not a world class squad. I've already seen at least 4 sides that'd stuff them and send them home with their tails between their legs.
