I think England are just as likely as Scotland to get through the group stages.

You are not serious? Scotland have to beat South Africa to have even a remote chance. We have to beat Kenya and Canada. I don't think our situation is quite the same as Scotland's just yet.
Looks like Ireland are going through though, on the verge of beating Pakistan.

Flintoff was alleged to have been out drinking until the early hours of Saturday morning after the loss to New Zealand and, according to British media, had to be rescued from the ocean at 4:00 am local time by hotel staff.
What a legend...

That's just so sudden.
He wasn't that old really. When I saw the picture on the article I thought 'I seen him on TV last night.'
My gut reaction was that it a heart attack brought on by all the stress.

Alright mate...calm down...
i doubt he planned to get sacked like that, which imo is a bit unfair on him...

Don't care what he planned, he should be sent home, not just sacked as vice captain. Absolute disgrace and it's certainly not the first time on his part. I don't care if he's Andrew f***ing Flintoff, fact is had that been any other player in the squad, they would have been sent home. He should have been, and so should the other 4 who were in trouble the day before. And their central contracts torn up for all I care.
Playing in a world cup should be the absolute pinnacle of your career, surely you should be able to give up being a drunken lout for 2 and a half weeks. I mean, they are only going to be in the thing for 1 more gane anyway until they lose to Kenya. These guys obviously don't give a fart about the world cup and don't want to be there, so why keep them there? Great to see that young Bopara put in a match winning performance in place of Flintoff. I'd keep him in the side for the next game to show Flintoff he's no more untouchable than anyone else tbh.
RIP Bob Woolmer. My 1st reaction was that he was murdered, seemed too much of a coincidence, especially with it being Pakistan where they can get a bit crazy. But does appear it was a heart attack brought on by incredible stress, and a possible overdose of some sort too.
