Samantha Murray just took silver in the modern pentathlon to win our 65th medal off the games and round things off nicely.  29 golds, 65 medals in all for Team GB. |

It's strange to think that come the next Olympics, there might not be a Team GB with Scottish athletes in it, we may be on our own by then!!

Read that too but also a bit that stated Montenegro went independent in 2006 but competed at Bejing as an independent nation. Will make the tennis a wee bit interesting if that happens!!! |

Don't believe they will vote for independance so not concerned. Would still support Andy anyway. Mind you feeling a bit sad watching this. No mention of or pictures of our tennis team. Just a couple of quick shots of Venus. Thinks its a shame andy can't be there to take the applause. |

Thoroughly enjoyed the Olympics. Don't think I've ever watched so much TV.  As for closing ceremony  John Lennon bit was highlight for me. Otherwise Tories must've been relieved, no "lefty" content whatsoever.........  Picture's g8 johnj.  |
