Well I was hopeful of a medal but got zilch. no

I thought he would have won but it just wasn't to be.  Hannah Milley has just finished 5th in the 400 Individual Medley.

I read that Fabian is waiting on an x-ray result.  search

Ah yes, it was on twitter:-

Swiss cyclist Fabian Cancellara, who crashed out of today's road race, on Twitter: "Have no words left. The tears are stronger then the pain. Now we are waiting in the policlinic in the athlete's village for the X-ray."

TEAM GB

So Great Britain end Day One of the London 2012 Games as they started it - without a medal. You just wait though, we didn't bag a medal on the opening day of the last Games either - and they turned out fairly well in the end...

Lets hope eh Beeb Text Commentary. crossfingers

Agreed. I've never seen such dull live tennis. I wonder if it was the rubbish camera angle.

Enjoyed the swimming today.  A shame Hannah Miley didn't make the medals, but well done that girl.

Really chuffed for the GB men gymnasts too.  Through to a team final for the first time in 88 years (I think).  Some achievement.  Smile

Me too Bev! How very disappointing! I understand they didn't have their radio, but I would've thought the fact that the other group of cyclists were totally out of sight might have been a hint! Also, somebody was complaining that they had nobody to help them, but the guys who took the gold and silver were wildcards........so, they definately didn't get any help!

I was watching gymnastics while I was ironing but I didn't catch that team performance, will make sure to watch the final. Swimming was splendid and with a few surprises and Andy and Jamie's match was excellent - they so nearly won. Looking forward to today.

Sportsmen that use PEDs or any drug should be banned for life.  The gold medal winner has had a long ban for drug taking, I believe.
