Really chuffed for the GB men gymnasts too. Through to a team final for the first time in 88 years
I take it, you were there?

There appear to be quite a few empty seats on centre court 14 Gold medals up for grabs today. Sam Sheringham, BBC Sport at the Beach Volleyball "It's bucketing down now at Horse Guards Parade and many of the spectators have run for cover. But the women's pairs from the Netherlands and Spain are still battling it out in their bikinis out there on court. It will start to look like mud-wrestling soon!"

Well done to Team GB in the gymnastics - great result for both the girls and the boys.

I only know that the GB girl came second in the cycling road race, a silver. Have we won another ?

Sweet Jesus, the American swim team have seriously got it going on in the body department. Cannot wait for 4x100m Medley Relay next weekend, probably my favourite Olympic event.

The gold and silver medal winning cyclists only completed part of the Tour de France, so were more refreshed than our poor boys.

Britain got a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle - women - Rebecca Adlington. She won gold last time but this is her weaker discipline. The 800m is her main goal I believe. Well done ladies anyway

Love the swimming, cycling, tennis athletics most. Yes! Brilliant last leg swim by the French in the relay and they beat the Yanks. Liked Industrial Rev opening bit. Very imaginative and emotional. Thought it was quite good actually- quirky and fun etc Splendidly different from Bejing and interviews with the volunteers showed how much they'd got out of it too. And having young athletes at the end was brilliant Afterthought, saw Wiggins is married with young kids. When on earth does he see them

Daley and Waterfield get off to the perfect start in the 10m diving final and are joint 1st after 1 round. Laura Robson is into R2. Britain got a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle - women - Rebecca Adlington. She won gold last time but this is her weaker discipline. The 800m is her main goal I believe. Well done ladies anyway Becky actually went faster than her gold medal time four years ago! Great race from her, and hopefully she'll do even better in the 800.

Cocked up the 4th dive, 5th wasn't great and they're out of the medals.
So frustrating after leading after 3 dives with a big distance to 3rd. One poor dive and it all goes to ****. So disappointing.

Farcical. Still a fantastic result but such a shame it ended like it has, ends up taking away a bit from the moment.
Really feel for Ukraine.
