He wouldn't have done it without the billionaire, would have been the same as when he failed to save Southampton. Disagree that Moaninho or Wenger couldn't get a performance out of Portsmouth too.

Me too. Really don't think it will be long before they control most of the premiership. And then what?

Well it hasn't been "football" for around a decade now?

All to do with which Russian has stolen more money and how much they want to give to their new toy a.k.a. the team.

As for what will happen. Neutral Abromovic = richest man in Russian, Chelsea win.

The players can't all be enjoying it at Chelsea. Surely Shaun Wright-Phillips didn't enjoy a season sitting in the stands and missing out on a World Cup place just for an 80,000 a week salary. Or perhaps the salary is all he wanted. Won't be regaining his England place any time soon either with Gerrard starting on the right, the emergence of Aaron Lennon at his expense and Mclaren's love child Stuart Downing a regular on the left.

Just look at Gallas' reaction to our win the other day, he was so ecstatic, celebrating with the fans at the end, really fired up etc. Never saw him like that at Chelsea. He must really be enjoying playing for a proper club with proper fans where wins like that come from guts and hard work rather than stolen money. And look at Wenger's reaction to the goal, jumping up and down like a kid in a sweet shop. In contrast, when Drogba scored his cracker against Liverpool, all Moaninho did was roll his eyes, as if to say "Why are we even bothering? Just give me the 3 points now and we can all go home."

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

i totally agree with what alex is saying . Pompey have made some great singing this year . Campell , i think he is amazing , and James in goal , not the best in my eyes but doind great for them . and Kaku , or how ever u say it

also the chelsea thing , it is all about the money and that is the reason wright-phillips went there, and its a shame coz as u all may no i really like this guy , he has great potential and should have stayed at Man city .Chelsea dont really have the passion for the game and it refletc in there atmosphere . alot of there fans are glory supportere, not all but alot and as soon as they are not performing then they will lose them fans , but like David said , Everton they are the peoples club and you can tell that by the way there plays are so greatful of all the support. We may not have the largest amount of fans or biggest stadium but we have passion and commitment.

It's Kanu Rochelle. And yeah, Redknapp is a good manager, no denying that, but without their oligarch there wouldn't be a Kanu, Campbell or James amongst others at Pompey, and then would they really be having similar results?
As for Wright-Phillips. Of course he should have stayed at Man City, or even gone to Arsenal. We wanted him, he would have been an immediate 1st choice starter, and his father is a legend there. Would've been set for life. Chelsea only bought him so he didn't go to Arsenal, not because they wanted him. Basically he swapped a World Cup place for a paid Season Ticket. Wonder what he was thinking last season when they played Man City and he sat in the stands watching his younger brother playing for City. Something along the lines of "I remember what it was like when I used to do that..." I imagine.

Anyway, didn anyone see this Panorama program on BBC accusing Allardyce and Redknapp of taking transfer bungs? Won't get it here, so I've just been reading about it on the net.

True, but we are not very worried about it. Its basically a mortgage which will be paid off over 25 years. Nothing to get too worried about at this stage.

No, Chelsea are very much in debt. It's just that Abramovich has the financial muscle to stop it spiralling out of control.
