I feel sorry that he has been made the scapegoat for Scotland's poor performance on Saturday - there were 15 players out there against england not just one!
But isn't it the norm that somebody always has to carry the can for the collective failure of others? Whistle

Quite shocked to read Dan Parks sudden decision to retire from international rugby! Surely not just over the way he played on Sat, that's a bit drastic, I just can't belive it.

He's been subject to so much bad press I'm not really surprised.  People forget that last season he picked up 4 'man of the match' awards.

from the beginning Dan Parks was kicking the ball right down the middle to English hands instead of going for a corner or finding touch

Has to be their planned tactic doesn't it surely? Every game at the World Cup was the same, especially the one against Argentina which I was at. Every time they get the ball they just hoof it down the middle, it's as if they just accept they're going to drop or turnover the ball anyway so they may as well give it back down the other end instead of in their half. Scottish supporter sitting next to me in that Argentina game wanted to gorge his eyes out with a fork every time they kicked it.

I agree - they would have been playing to a pre-determined game plan.  Let's hope for a better showing on Sunday in Cardiff - ever the optimist!

You got to love those British matchups. I like how wales is playing, hope they win today and then we can watch a great match against England.

England won yesterday. another great chade down by Hodgson and some beautiful Farrell kicks. Wink

Wow, what 15 minutes from Wales. This is over.

How can you not score there?!(Maybe a bad call from the ref, but it's like Scotland has some kind of spell on them. Just can't get a try.)

Felt sorry for Scotland yesterday, I thought they played and fought really hard. They should have had that first try, the Ref just said he would not give it, he should have went to the video Ref as that was definitley a try even Johnathan Davis agreed that it was, I was fumming. Glad they eventually got one though.
