Hope Scotland stick with Robinson. Still can't ever over the fact they went and hired probably the worst head coach England ever had.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

I was reading a report in one of the Sundays by David Sole who reckoned that there was nothing wrong with Robinson but a lot wrong with the squad - mainly that they lacked discipline and commitment - but that sounds daft to me since I understood that coaches were there to instil these qualities into the players, should they be found wanting them.

You can't polish a turd.
At best, we would have finished 5th, the Italy defeat was the only defeat which was hard to take.

Sir Pands, why did Gray come off? Was he injured?
Wales, although a small nation, has rugby in its soul, therefore there is a bit of strength in depth, though not always, I well remember the very lean years. Every small town in Wales has a rugby pitch, sometimes two.
Is Scotland more a footballing nation?

I think I can safely answer this part of your post and say that Scotland is much more into football than rugby - apart, that is, from the Borders' area where it most definitely thrives. By way of explanation, you might find this link of interest -

Cheers Aileen, article seems to suggest Rugby developed in the borders, simply because it was next to England geographically.

That would certainly seem to be the case, particuarly as the Scottish Borders used to be famous for its textile industry - now sadly in decline.

Edinburgh beat Toulouse 19-14 to go through to the semi's of the Heineken cup! First Scottish team to ever get that far!
The match was great, brilliant atmosphere and over 37,000!

Maybe they should all be selected for the next Six Nations!

Tempted to just get tickets for Twickenham for the final, even if Edinburgh don't go through it would be amazing and I've been promising to visit friends in London anyway

Why because I'm on benefits? Well if he can find a way to magically make my back better then I'd be able to work.
