Hmmmmm...
What was it?
It's okay if it's personal.

Don't worry about it, not important.
Anyway back to the Ashes. I can't see us retaining it, although also don't think we will loe 5-0 as the Aussies are expecting. Got a feeling we will win a test, as we usually do, although I fear it won't be while the series is alive. My early prediciton then is 3-1 with us winning the 4th or 5th and 1 draw.
As for the VB Series, well we are pretty ordinary at ODIs these days and NZ are one of the better sides. Expecting and Aus-NZ final, but on our day we could beat NZ a couple of times and get there. Not expecting either side to beat Aus in the ODIs though.

Reckon injuries are key to this...if they all stay fit and Freddy doesn't bowl himself too much then there's a chance of a win...
Also, can't see any draws, but agree with team, Alex.

Yeah we have always had bad luck with injuries in Australia. Remember last time Simon Jones having that horrific fall on the 1st morning which left us playing a whole match with 10 men and a bowler short, and put him out of the game for the best part of 2 years. He is gonna be a big loss this time round. If I remember correctly, we ended up finishing a couple of the other tests with 9 or 10 either. Had such terrible luck last time in Australia.
It's key that we bowl well. Harmison and Hoggard have to be on top form the whole way through and it will be interesting to see how Panesar goes. He is gonna get slaughtered by the Aussie fans on the boundary
so we'll see what he's made of mentally.

Arka, does anyone refer to them being England and Wales apart from you?
I think that England are going to find it very tough indeed and a better showing at the recent tournie would have given them more confidence. The Aussies are lapping it up at the moment!
I hope that it's a close call and comes down to the last test match!
And great stuff it's on at my time! (albeit that Oz is a couple of hours behind us)

I will be cheering for England and Wales
in this.
Would be great for them to win it twice in a row but I don't see it happening.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Jones was bound to get the nod based on Ashes experience. Makes me think Giles will start ahead of Monty as he's been seeing a shrink to ready himself for the sledging he's gonna get.

Ok, I know it's late and I'm a woman, but how come an Irishman is playing for England (& Wales) cricket team? Is it really a British team, although Irish can refer to Ireland, which isn't British, or he could be from Northern Ireland. Maybe I should just go off to bed

Ok, I've been reading a bit more, and he qualified this year - how did he qualify? Did he pass a test or something?

Who is the Irishman. There's a South African. Wasn't aware of one of the guys being Irish.
