Portugal have qualified as group winners. Switzerland are eliminated. The winner of Czech Republic vs Turkey will qualify as runners-up. If it ends a draw, penalty kicks will decide it!

Won't it be goal difference that settles it? And failing that, goals scored?

Ah you're right, wow that would be exciting. Smile

Yes, penalties, because goal difference and goals scored will be equal, its the last group match, and no other teams will be level on points with them. I hope it happens, just for the novelty of penalties in a group match!

Wow never seen that before! That would be good. Would they just skip extra time and go straight to Penalties?

Crap, this means we'll (Portugal) probably play them in the QFs.

Bad news though is that if Germany finish 2nd in their group they'll play Portugal in the QF's!

Edit: Yeah. But with their woeful defence, they've no chance!

Indeed. Now what can I text the German from Uni? snakeman

I was sure they were going to win 3-2 when they pulled one back. They always come back.
Croatia were very impressive. If there's still any doubt as to why we couldn't beat them, just watch that game. They are in a different league, even without Eduardo. Won't be surprised to see them in the semi finals after that.

To summarize so far:

Group A:
Portugal have qualified as group winners, and will play one of Germany, Poland, or Austria in the quarters.
Czech Republic vs Turkey on Sunday will decide who will finish as runners-up, and in the event of a draw, penalties will decide. The winner will play Croatia in the quarters.
Switzerland have been eliminated.

Group B:
Croatia have qualified as group winners and will play either Czech Republic or Turkey in the quarters.
Germany will qualify as runners-up if they avoid defeat in their final group match against Austria on Monday. If they do lose, Austria will take their place unless Poland beat Croatia by a big enough margin to at least equal Austria's goal difference and goals scored. Whoever goes through will face Portugal in the quarters.
