Yeah great goal but there was some really pathetic defending from Portugal and in particular Ferreira. School boy defending from him for the 1st and 3rd goals, and by the whole defence for the 2nd. So as usual Portugal have looked one of the early favourites, and then succumbed in the latter stages to a side considered the underdog. As will Spain in a few days. And as usual Germany have looked pretty average early on, but are safely through the semi finals.

Podolski looks class. Spurs are interested in him and apparently he'll only cost 10m which would be a steal IMO. As he's a striker who is also comfortable on the left wing I find it hard to imagine Wenger is not sniffing around too. Game time has been much too limited for him at Bayern but with Klinsmann as their new manager he'll stay as he's one of Klinsmann's favourites.

Oh no question there was some really pathetic defending. It made me laugh to watch C. Ronaldo just let Klose go on the second one.

That was an incredibly boring game until the last 5 minutes of extra time.
So my prediction for the first semi was wrong. The beauty of football - nothing is ever certain.
