On the subject of offside, none of FIFA, the referees, the players, the managers, the fans, your pet hamster can agree on what is actually offside anymore because FIFA have mucked up the rules so much that they are completely ambiguous.

Men's field hockey is so much better. I happen to play it. What i love most is all the football guys that say "Ha, you play a girls sport!" I just say "Precisely!
"
Lol!
And it is field hockey. Proper title Arka. Like American Football is that and not Football. Lol. And rugby is Rugby Football or Rugby League. etc etc etc.
Anyway, men's field hockey rules!

What on earth are you saying????
American Football is an improvisation, call it whatever name you want.........
Hockey gave rise to Ice Hockey, why in God's name should we change it to field hockey. Its FIH and not FIFH.
But I want to start with both these games. They look beautiful.

Never knew that someone else used that phrase.
I use it quite often.

You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop
assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you
must have.
The shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with
desire.
Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be totally rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no
money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and
sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper
and buy the shoes.
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and, *whilst
it is in flight* you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and
buy the shoes.
Always remembering that until the purse has *actually been thrown* it would
be plain wrong to be forward of the other shopper.
ok now i get it!!
it all semms so simple
thank you lola!!

Hats off to whom it may concern.
Great mind, no matter who did it.
And thanks to Lola for sharing it with us.

It's so easy when explained like that!
I didn't come up with it, I heard it on the radio one day and thought it was great.
