Very conflicting from some reports from a couple of journalists close to Kimi.

I did.
Their body-language was incredibly interesting. Seb pretend-lazing in his chair, and Lewis' legs jerking like mad.
Competitive talk all the way, too.
Lewis' shades won imho. (the sun ones. lol)

Oh boy..guess Rozzy made a statement today.
Still a good result for Lewis.

My real race was watching Kimi against Bottas, what with all the rumours about Bottas/possible Ferrari next season.

Kimi fought hard, gaining a second per lap from 7 secs behind from last PS; but couldn't get the pass at the end.

Sorry.. I'm as much a Kimi fan as an Andy fan.

What you see is what you get from both of them. No B.S. from either. no  wub

Mercedes are an absolute ******* disgrace.

For those not watching, Hamilton was 21s ahead and thrashing Rosberg. Verstappen crashes, safety car comes in, and Mercedes pit Hamilton for no logical reason leaving Hamilton to come out 3rd. 27 point lead (and deserved Grand Chelem) thrown away to a 10 point lead (at best, or 5 points behind worse).

I'm absolutely astounded.

Rosberg can get to **** too, celebrating like he's just won the championship.

Epic cockup. Will be interesting to see how Hamilton responds to this.

I am so angry. It does seem a bit of a coincidence after what Mr Ecclestone has said.  I am sure it was a fix.  Perhaps it was Nico's engineers that called him in.  I have never heard of a driver being called in with a few laps to go.  Madness.  Hammy wuill bounce back I am sure.  He did not sound too happy apparently on the radio.  Shades of last year I feel.

It was very weird. Why call Lewis in unless there is a chance of the tires malfunction ? They must have seen some kind of anomaly that they haven't told us about.  Remember two races ago where both Lewis and Nico tyres partially broke down towards the end of their races causing Nico to lose control of his car and second place to Kimi whereas Lewis was able to nurse the car home with Kimi closing to within 3 seconds.

Lewis was unlucky today in that had he have 1 extra second lead, he would have come out from the pit lane still in first place.  A very bad calculation on his engineers' part.

^ it was the brakes in Bahrain. Mercedes have already publicly admitted that they screwed up the arithmetic - they thought they had 3.5 seconds more to spare.

Still, whilst is must hurt like a ******* right now, in a few days Lewis will likely reflect on the fact that he was absolutely spanking Rosberg at the German's favourite track. 20 seconds lead and cruising? At Monaco? Tonking.

Thanks Phil for the clarification about the brakes. Agree that Lewis will be feeling really great that he was pulling away from Nico about 1s per lap faster to gain that massive 20s lead.

He was pulling out 1.5s-2s a lap on Rosberg. In the same car. On the same tyres. Annihilation by Formula 1 (or any motorsport) standards. Yet again (always Hamilton eh?) he's had wretched luck, but hopefully he can get back on top in Canada and stop this little bit of undeserved momentum Rosberg is getting.

I'm sure he will TMH! My husband thinks it was a fix, but I'm not sure! Why would his own team do such a thing? confused Niki Lauda was absolutely furious!
