Rosberg will have to be very very very lucky to beat Hamilton....especially given that he won't be able to resort to cheating again.  He had a lot of luck last year and still couldn't do it.

Could be a 'walk in the park' for Lewis this year methinks.

Lewis Hamilton won the first race of the season in Australia, with Rosberg coming second and Vettel 3rd.....if anyone's interested!

Sebastian Vettel won the F1 Championship in 4 consecutive years, driving for Red Bull. Now, because Hamilton won the Championship last year and took first place in the first race this season, Red Bull are complaining and have threatened to pull out of F1 unless the rules are changed to make 'the grid more equal'! Rolling Eyes They're saying fans are fed up seeing the Mercs on the front of the grid! fainting They mean they are! Funny they never complained when they had two Red Bulls on the front of the grid in practically every race for 4 years! I don't know what they expect to happen! Do they want the wheels taken off Lewis's car? Rolling Eyes Maybe if they stopped whining and concentrated on improving their own car, they'd get somewhere! They make me sick! Grrr!

The hypocrisy is quite hilarious actually.

Great to see Hamilton so dominant (especially in qualifying) but I really hope the rest of the season has more excitement than that. Just 15 cars on the grid does not bode well. And that McLaren... Oh no.

Yes......it was a shame so many cars never even got to start and I can't help but wonder what thoughts were running through Alonso's mind as he watched the race! Whistle

The thing that worries me most though, is that the poison dwarf might feel he has to bow down to the Bulls and make the changes! If that happens I may have to stop watching, because knowing F1 is all about money rather than sport will ruin it for me!

I thought I'd seen the last of Hamilton being let down by his team, but apparently...I was wrong! Rolling Eyes

Just complacency and poor strategy really. There was an early safety car and Mercedes pitted both drivers (several other teams did the same) whilst Vettel stayed out which ended up benefitting him hugely and led to a pretty comfortable win.

Rosberg was the one who really lost out, as he lost time in the pits waiting for Hamilton's tyres to be changed and ended up with a few cars between him and Hamilton.

That said, Ferrari were very quick and might well have won anyway. I think, pace-wise, the two teams were very close. Could have made for an interesting race.

Battle of the tires, today.

Full credit to Vettel who was flawless in a new car and a new team. He and Kimi seem to have gelled well.
Kimi.. too bad about those shitty tires for the final leg, otherwise he would have definitely been on the podium. Great race from him considering he was at the very back after the puncture.

Loved the cute podium moments with Lewis and Seb sitting laughing and chatting. There's no doubt Rosberg is on the outside.

As TMH said Tamila.....just bad strategy with the early pit stop and the tires!
