Tour de France
« on: July 27, 2006, 05:10 PM »
Landis got caught for high testosterone level in his blood. It's impossible he was 10 minutes behind one day and 5 ahead the other day.
I just don't understand how you can be so stupid. The blood tests often show high level of testosterone, he would get caught, he knew he would. Now he has to give away his triumph, all his prize money and he has to pay a huge fine.
I was just saying to Sir Panda... Looks like he's not only performing better during cycling

I hope he gets what he deserves. There's no place for drugs in sport, or in society, but thats a differnt matter.

Yes. The only person would appreciate the testosterone is his partner
However, what a fool!
How he thought he could escape is beyond me

It's something that will never disappear out of our system ever again.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty, Remember Greg Rusedski tested positive for a banned substance and it turned out that he was innoncent, I won't condem him just yet

His Team Admitted That He Had Tested Positive For A Banned Susbtance.ALso....
Quote
"The rider will ask in the upcoming days for the counter analysis (B sample) to prove either that this result has come from a natural process or that this is the result of a mistake."
ALso Greg Tested positive, and he said that he didn't take it knowingly, there are ways to escape punishment, and it might mean that he hasn't taken it knowingly

It will be such a shame, for sport, if he is found guilty. They tried, for years, to say that Lance Armstrong took drugs because he won so many 'tours'. Some people have got 'it' and some haven't!

I think it would be more a news story if someone in the Tour de France was caught not taking drugs tbh.
It's a terrible sport for drugs. Really believing Lance Armstrong spent his whole career drugs free is just blind hope IMO. He had to have taken vast sums just to get fit enough to cycle to that level after his cancer. Although to be fair, he has never tested positive to anything during a Tour de France. I wouldn't like to think what was going through his system every day of the year that was not during the Tour, but again to be fair that's only speculation. I really hope he never abused drugs, I'm a fan of his, it was great to see someone comeback after cancer and achieve what he did. However, I can't say I believe he never took anything.

I agree. No matter how much of a fighter he is, after that sort of cancer you cannot win the Tour de France so many times. The body is exhausted. If a perfectly healthy body can't do it, why can he do it?
I like the commotion, I don't mind them getting caught, it's their own fault anyway.
