Daley wins historic World title British teenager Tom Daley produced a stunning final dive to win a shock gold at his first World Championships. The 15-year-old was lying third in the 10m platform final heading into the sixth round, but scored 100.30 with his final effort as his rivals faltered. Pre-event favourite Qiu Bo was second, with Olympic gold medallist Matt Mitcham back in fourth. Daley wins historic World titleWhat a pity he had to move schools through bullying Kids can be so callous. Best of luck in the next comp Tom!

Hard luck. Bit of controversy over some of the swimming suits being worn - why allow them when they are banned next year?

Hard luck. Bit of controversy over some of the swimming suits being worn - why allow them when they are banned next year? They banned them after the competition began due to the controversy There is talk of FINA disregarding any world records made in the suits which would be a shame Also, what happened to Phelps today? I thought he was going for all six medals? Coming second today will certainly put a spanner in the works!..

The suits made a joke of all the records. Earlier ban now planned - from January 2010.

I know, some of the ones that were broken by like a hundredth of a second were probably down to the suits, but some of them were absolutely smashed, so it can't be down to just the suits alone, sine were broken based on talent
