Who should be the new England manager?

Quote

True. And yes sorry I didn't mean to say Chelsea played hoof it football. It was more wide men plus target man and play for 1-0. With England it's been similar with Beckham on the right. But when he hasn't been there as we saw against Croatia, it's aimless hoof it up to Crouch football.

Anyway, my preference is for someone with experience and success at International level. However, I would be suprised if it is not Mourinho given today's comments.

Anyway, Mourinho now says he wants and astronomical £4m a year salary! Can the FA afford it after the £2.5m compensation paid out to Mclaren? Just think how much the compensation will be to Mourinho when we fail to make the World Cup and sack him! All things that must be considered.

I don't like the translator , but he is a very good manager and could get England performing to their true potential.

£4m would be well worth it if they got to the final of the world cup, never mind winning it again.

Never mind free, I'd pay them! lol

But seriously, I really don't see Mourinho succeeding at International level without an open cheque book for transfers and with very limited resources.

Stuart Pearce should get it, and he should bring all his under 21s with him!

I'm sorry but I don't see how any England manager would have limited resources, the quality of players (apart from in goal) available is on a par with most if not all the of the European big guns.

It is the team spirit that is lacking and Jose would instill that as he has done in all his club sides, he might get attacked by the press for the style of the play but you would be successfull.

I don't believe we have the players to succeed with his style of play. As I said earlier, the 3 key components that made it successful at Chelsea were Drogba, Essien and Cech. The very 3 things we don't have.
But his track record can't be argued with, so perhaps he could do something with us. My personal preference is for someone with international experience and success however.
