We have a nucleus of a squad which will be present for the next few years so it all looks good.

Wouldn't be at all suprised to see you make the next World Cup. Got an opportunity to be in a nice group now.

Yep, thats the important thing now. We have some great youngsters, and a decent under 21 side too. Hopefully we'll get a bit of luck as well with the draw, but considering how we made the
world champions look foolish yesterday, we probably dont need too much luck. Hampden is becoming a place that the top teams do not want to play anymore!

I personally think Scotland perform best when they are underdogs, hopefully Big Eck can change this mentality.

First defeat at Hampden for donkeys (albeit ref/linesman induced). Looking forward to the draw

Does anyone know if England are first or second seeds? And what about the other home nations?

I think it will not be known until after Wednesday night’s games, there is a chance that Romania can over take them and become 1st seeds, it would take England to get beaten by Croatia and Romania to beat Albania. But England will have some points from the Friendly on Friday night so it will be very close even with those results.

Do you have any links for me for a site that goes through the possibilities and/or calculations? Thanks...

It is done like the Davis cup, 100% of this years, 50% last years 30% two years ago, 20% three years ago.
But you then have to take into account if it was a friendly, the ranking of the opposition you were playing, their regional strength and average out the number of games.
An explanation is on the FIFA official site, I understand it in principle but without all the results, the ranking of the opposition when played and a lot of time, it has me beat.
I have never seen a site doing provisional rankings either.

I saw the explanation there. I think the explanation on wikipedia is a lot clearer, have a look there...
What i'm really desperate for is a site that works it out provisionally. The reason why its so difficult is because it works with average points gained, like golf, so you have to know all past results (for 4 years) for all the teams who could catch you up, and for all teams that you might catch up, as well as opponents, and match status (friendly, qualifier etc.).
I suppose i'll just have to wait to find out...
