We're in 2nd place! woohoo

But you are currently the worst second place team, so you wouldn't qualify. Plenty of time to go though.

It wasn't pretty and the Gerrard-Lampard combination is still yet to convince. But a win is a win is a win and we've got off to the perfect start with 4 from 4 so it looks encouraging. Still the 2 games against Ukraine and a home game against Croatia to come though so still plenty of work to do.
I thought the ESPN commentator got it exactly right when he said "Belarus seem to have a team of 10 Hlebs." Plenty of possession, good control and pretty passing, but f**k all to show for it. lol

There is one home game in this campaign scheduled for when I'm planning to be in London next year (vs Andorra) so I really hope it would be possible to go. Would it be possible for someone like me to get a ticket or would you have to be a member of the stadium/supporters clubs etc? I'll only be 5-10 minutes walk from Wembley Stadium so it couldn't be more accessible. Although the venue is still officially yet to be decided so I suppose it could possibly be somewhere else. It will surely be Wembley though won't it?

We're not going to qualify Shay, last season was our chance and we bottled it in Georgia. Frown

Do you have a link to the 2nd place tables? Just curious, and it might be useful next year!

Cheers. So we're level with Poland and Croatia though. I definitely fancy us to take 2nd. Just hope we do enough to make the play offs!

No, they knew what they were doing, we'll be 3-0 down after 15 mins, the TVs will be going out the window. Very Happy

Switched off. Burley has had enough chances now. What the **** is Gary Teale doing playing? Why wasn't he replaced? Why wait until the 70th minute to change things when we're two goals down?

To top it off, we get denied a good goal and then they get a penalty. **** off.

So beat Iceland home, Norway away, Macedonia home. And we should finish in 2nd. Just have to hope that Holland win all their games and we do enough not to be the worst 2nd place team. Get a decent draw in the play-offs and win a 2 leg tie, and we're in the World Cup. Easy! Sack Burley!
