Stockholm - Two tennis players entered for the Stockholm Open have been fined for tying to buy sexual favours at a hotel in Stockholm, police and news reports said Monday. "The players have been fined," Jonas Trolle of the Stockholm police told the online edition of Expressen newspaper. Their names were not released. The report said they were allowed to play the tournament.

Sweden banned the purchase of sexual favours in 1999, although prostitutes offering such services are not punished.

Are we suggesting that these two events were independant? Other wise it's seems a bit odd that those two are hanging out together...

lmao

That was actually unintentional... when you split a discussion from a stickied topic, the split discussion also is stickied.

Interesting.  Is this a wise move for MB ?  I thought that this kind of thing saps a player's energy which is not good if you are trying to win to move up the ranking ?

When did this happen anyway?

No point arresting the prostitutes, they are doing it as a last resort, their lives are over and this is the only thing that keeps them living. They would enjoy the free food in prison and then go out and continue selling themselves, over and over again.

That paints a rather black picture.  Think  Can't think that it's quite that simple.  I doubt it's a last resort for some.

Well that day Baghdatis was in Tashkent, Uzbekistan winning a Challenger event (http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2009/4012/mds.pdf) so it's really unlikely to be have been him. Think

I think you need to go out and interview a "working girl" and then come back and write a report for Murraysworld .....

^ At the end of the day, not all women who sell sexual favours are doing it because it's a last resort.  They're not all losers who have no other option.  I doubt any of the alleged players picked up some pox ridden whore.  no  Probs some high class woman with whom they can 'scratch an itch' without any emotional involvement.  If all parties are happy.....   Shrug  Not such a big deal.  A business transaction for all concerned.
