Yeah, I'm caught in two minds. Like when I watched the speech he gave for Graf's induction in 2004 (look it up on YouTube), part of me was cringing and part of me was thinking he's just v genuine and honest and he comes from a different society, where they express themselves differently. I'm sure it's all heartfelt, even if it does stink of gorgonzola in parts.

Indeed, we Brits can be quite reserved about our emotions whereas Americans seem to be very upfront about how they are feeling.  Heartfelt was the word that came to my mind also.
