I've just read this apology from the BBC. Sounds like Andrew Castle has had his wrists smacked.
I remember the discussion, I'm pretty sure it was last Wednesday. It was certainly during one of the rain breaks. I remember thinking at the time that Castle should be careful what he says, although he did say wouldn't discuss the issue Lloyd apparently had. It made me wonder why mention it at all in that case?
I just think Andrew Castle is a bit full of himself. I don't think it's the first time he's tried to be clever or controversial. It might be the first time the BBC has had to apologise for him.
Speaking of apologies, I wonder if Eurosport ever apologised for Chris Bradman using the f-word in commentary at Queen's. It was during the first day, when Dan Evans was playing. Bradman was repeating something Dan Evans said. The problem was that he repeated it verbatim and I suspect he didn't realise the mic was still on
