ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai
« on: October 12, 2009, 08:49 AM »
The talking heads on SKY have just been saying that Murray and Delpo will be almost neck and neck, points wise, if Delpo plays well this week. Also, that the top 5 players have qualified for the year end final, so there will be a bit of a scramble for the remaining places.
First match up today is Blake vs Karlovic and the roof is closed. Apparently Blake has parted company with his long time coach, Brian Barker, and has a new one Kelly Jones - wonder if it wil help him to overcome Karlovic.

Watching Ivo-Blake now. Bless Blake actually trying to get Ivo's serves back in! Seriously never seen anyone serve like Ivo ever. He really is amazing. My friends and I went to watch him play at SW19, but we couldn't get in, so we waited to watch him serve an ace through many heads, and then left!

And .... Blake has his head down already, poor soul. The crowd seem to be behind Blake - it would be great to see him do well, but not sure he will.

Karlovic DPs for the first time in history to hand Blake the match.
Only that Nadal bloke next up for Blake yet again.

No - haven't heard that. But, he's already qualified, so maybe he'll coast until O2 ....

Lucky you ..... you've obviously got your ticket/s and are all set ..... how will we know it's you? Question - do you happen to know what the capacity of O2 is?

Right ..... but a few matches with top-cats before the Masters won't be a bad thing no ?

Haha I am going on the Wednesday group games, hopefully there'll still be a lot to play for then.
I think it's 16,000. Been there for Lee Evans and Matter. Can't wait to see what a hard court will look like in there.
