Favourite Women's Player?

Quote

Following on from my previous thread, I'm now asking for your favourite active women's player, I hope I didn't miss any popular players out. Mine is Radwanska as she has such a fun game to watch.

Thanks Matthew.

I like both the Williams sisters, but have a real soft spot for Venus.

Of the youngsters I like Keys and Pliskova - think they both have good attitudes.

I quite like Kvitova and while I appreciate Radwanska's style I can't take to her for some reason.

Halep hits a great backhand down the line.

What strikes me though is that the style of the players I liked so much in the past has all but vanished from the women's game.

Current is Serena and I'd really love to see her and Andy play mixed doubles this year somewhere - maybe French.   I also adored Marion Bartoli.  Hope she un-retires.

I like Aggie she plays very well and is quite tactical in her game. She is quite small so has to play the way she does to win matches. She has a good all over court game. Also I have heard Andy say he likes the way she plays.

I've always loved Venus and was delighted the first time she won Wimbledon.  Has such grace in her movement and such a lovely smile. And she's shown a lot of courage playing her way back into form despite the horrible illness she has.  In terms of the style of tennis played I guess it would be Radwanska.

I'm thrilled that you appreciate Venus. As a fan of both sisters I try not to pick a favourite out of them both, even though some may think I have a clear favouritism towards Serena. Which is false.

I have voted for Lisicki who I find very sweet and charming with a powerful game when she is on form. She has been so unlucky with injury and illness, it would be great to see her competing at the top again

Halep probably, tho like quite a lot.

I really can't choose - I like so many of them equally well for differing reasons. Easier to say who I don't like, actually. Sharapova would top that list, mainly for her shrieking, but also for her bitchiness.

This will be a unpopular opinion but I don't have much time for women's tennis these days - I think it's in a really bad way. I love watching Aga though. Her attitude can be a bit off though which makes it a bit harder to root for her, but I think she's getting better. I saw an interview, I think it was at the French Open, and she came across really well.
