Federer finally wins a title in 2013. Only took him six months. It took Murray six days.

He was titleless since Cincy LOL

That Halle trophy is HUGE and Fedrere looked like a 3 year old holding it. lol He was smiling big. I guess it's a big relief to be able to finally win a title after a series of losses this year.

Yes, defending champion too. It was kind of expected as Malisse is a top grass player and Ferrer plays the fast grass like clay sometimes.

Chardy is the only seed to survive R1 (Wawrinka yet to play).

And those two both in the same quarter.

Top quarter: Lu, Malisse, Bautista, Berlocq
Second quarter: Donskoy, Haase, Kuznetsov, Mahut/Berankis
Third quarter: Garcia-Lopez, Brands, Llodra, Hernych/Goffin
Bottom quarter: Chardy, Copil, Lorenzi, Wawrinka

One player from each quarter will make the SFs, and one of those players from the top two quarters will make the final.

I am watching the Eastbourne final off and on and cannot help noticing that they cannot refrain from mentioning how great Nadal has been.  I am sick of it.  Lopez and Simon are playing very well considering the conditions so why can they not just commentate on them.

First title for Mahut, who beat Stan 6-3 6-4 in the Netherlands. He's a very happy man!

Lopez hopefully will beat Simon here. A title long time coming. They also face each other in R1 of Wimbledon.

Mahut, at his lowest ranking in over 10 years, claims his first title at the age of 31. Made up for him.

Won the title as a qualifier.
Won the title ranked #240 in the world.

How far back do you have to go to find the last player that achieved those feats? ^

It was his first final since 2007, and he won 7 of his 8 matches in straight sets, with only one set going to a tie break. Impressive stuff! Lovely hug with Stan at the end. Very happy for him.

Mahut has won more matches this week than he has in the rest of the year combined.

He's also won more ranking points in this week than the other 51 weeks combined.

He'd only won 28 ranking points before this week. 28. Gets 262 for this week. (In 2013 this is)

Interesting statistics MH. Really pleased for Mahut - especially nice for him given how disappointed he was to miss out on the French Open doubles title.

Good to see Lopez win another title too. His game is very nice to watch on grass.  It'll be interesting to see whether Lopez or Simon will win their first round Wimbledon match - I think probably Simon as 5 sets gives him enough time to turn matches around.

Screw it, will just C&P all the tweets:

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
#Simon on Nadal: "When he plays the 100th player in the world on clay & you hear him say "I'm not the favourite" you almost wanna slap him".

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Simon about his comment on Nadal: "That's probably the only thing you could criticize about Rafa". #tennis #lastweet

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Federer and Tsonga : the bad losers of the circuit according to Simon: They don't like to admit that an apponent can play better than them.

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Bad guy of the circuit atm? #Simon: "Janowicz. I think he is gonna annoy a lot of players in the future. He's made some comments..."

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Simon on ATP bad guys: "Before it was Robin (Soderling). Also Stepanek and Almagro. Berdych didn't start the best way but now he's adorable"

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Most underestimated player? Simon: "Ferrer. Only by the crowd. Nobody wants to play him. Ppl say he's strong but it's him who makes you run"

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
Most charming/prettiest player? No doubts for #Simon: "Verdasco. We had a good laugh watching him prepare the other day. Same with F.Lopez".

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  1h
#Simon: "If he was still on tour, Safin would win the most charming player award".

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  59m
#Simon on Safin: "His clothes were always a few sizes larger than they should have been. He was everything but pretty but girls loved it".

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  57m
Llodra and Tursunov, the craziest says #Simon. "In Rome they were throwing water bottles at each other. Llodra says Dmitry is crazier".

Adeline Auger ‏@adel1609  50m
Most bizarre lifestyle? Simon & Gulbis for Simon. "I've seen Gael warming up eating McMorning a few minutes before facing Almagro at the OG"

I don't get why so many fans hate Simon. Is it really because of his comments about the WTA? Because his comments had a large sprinkling of truth in them.
