Who do you think are the form players going into this years AO. List your favourites from 1-8 and we can see who has impressed the most.

Here are my guesses :
Federer
Nadal
Davydenko  (he is doing very well at the moment)
Djokovic
Murray (Hopefully the minor injury suffered during the final will clear up for the AO)
Del Potro (lack of match practise will cost him dear)
Soderling  (dark horse)
Roddick

Soderling definately (Soderking)
Roddick is probably rearing to go after Wimbledon...
Del Potro will probably be filled with confidence/cockiness
Verdasco will probably be eager to impress after last year, but I doubt he will deliver...
Berdych
Sam Querrey assuming he is back after the tragic glass table incident...
Other than that, pah anything can happen!

After watching Davydenko yesterday and seeing his form over the last few months I think it could be his year for a Grand Slam - at long last - I don't believe he has ever won a GS either - so Andy is in good company and has a few more years left to do it in. So my list would be:

Davydenko
Nadal
Novak
Soderling
del Potro
Andy
Federer

It's a weird list I suppose - everything is very unpredictable - the whole year is unpredictable and very exciting - who will go up in ranking - who will go down? Who will win what? So long as Andy makes progress and asserts himself as a top player I shall be happy.

Berdych and Querrey as challengers for a Slam!?! Berdych is funniest imo.

EDIT: Just realised this thread is about Andy's quater, not faves etc...

As far as the best quarter is concerned, I would say that Andy will do best against Djokovic.

I'm not too sure, Djokovic looked to be getting his form back towards the end of last season. Hopefully they schedule him for the late night match followed by a midday match again like last year though, that should see him heading for the airport early. devil

I'd like to see him in Nadal's quarter, if anything. Didn't see him last week in Doha, but he seems to have lost his mojo since the French last year. Genuine shame, to be honest.

See I can't decide whether I'd prefer to see him in the same quarter as Djokovic or Del Potro Think

Nadal looks to have picked up his form. Murray will give Nole the runaround, though.

Murray has beaten Djokovic in their last three meatings. I doubt that's going to change.

Well now i'm just confused too...
Anyway I obviously don't think theyre going to win, and strange occurances have occured with both of them, I see Berdych looka likes everywhere, I've seen about 5, and I saw Querrey when I went to Wimbledon, and then he goes and wins the US Open Series. That is fate trying to tell me something, in my opinion.

And I think you might actually be getting confused with the seeding thread, but in that case, :P
