I  am so glad that the BBC got snubbed as their up their own arses most of the time. The ATP chief couldn't uinderstand why the bbc didn't show the french open final  and decided to show a far less important event, he said lots of other intresting things. More coverage of tennis been shown bout bloody time

I was more surprised when he said 2/3 of tennis fans in France and Germany hadn't heard of Nadal.

Only reason BBC's coverage of Wimbledon is second to none is cause it's free. As a result everyone knows everything about Wimbledon and nothing the rest of the year!

What do you mean by "it's free". If you mean free to watch then part of the debate is that they should give more prominence to other slams since they do have the rights to show them.

Did I not read somewhere that the BBC get the rights for Wimbledon free? If not it's dirt cheap! That's why they show so much cause it doesn't cost them as much as the other slams would.

The BBC's coverage of wimbledon is second to none. won't criticise them on that. mind you, have to wait to see how they cope with both it and the World cup on at the same time. Last time the matches were finished by lunchtime, it being in Korea and all that.

The BBC reporters know almost nothing of tennis.
They dont even know sites where they can check out entry lists and stuff.
