well, not that close as he drops 1300 points tomorrow from Shanghai last year. Still, good chance of him reaching #2 at the AO next year, and possibly even #1.

Monfis plays possibly the worst tiebreak I've ever seen, pushing the ball back and letting Djokovic unload on it before double faulting on match point. Weird match - lots of drama and tension, but the actual tennis was a whole steaming manure pile of fail.
Djokivic cemented into the #3 position for the foreseeable future now.
