With more action, excitement and headline-grabbing players—2009 will be a watershed year for tennis in the Midwest.

Cincinnati now has two weeks of top-level pro tennis featuring the world’s best men and now women — up close and personal.

With the prospect of the Williams sisters, Jankovic and Ivanovic joining the likes of past men’s winners Federer, Roddick and Murray, tennis won’t be any better—anywhere.

The Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open is a Premier event on the international Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. It is estimated that at least 7 of the world’s top 10 players will enter to compete for this prestigious title.

The Western & Southern Financial Group Masters is one of the largest, oldest and most prestigious events in the world of tennis. It is one of nine elite ATP Masters 1000 events, the strongest and most important tournaments on the ATP Tour where all the top players are automatically entered.

By combining these two tournaments we’re changing not only for the better, but for the best

He's listed there ........#16;  However, I did hear some commentary yesterday to the effect that he was going to be back at the USO - so, not too sure really about this tournament.

Why did they put 2 Master Series back to back ? If Andy wins the Monreal MS then he will be tired and it will be difficult to win the next.  They should have started the Monreal MS 1 week earlier.

Well if that’s the way you’re looking at it? Andy has the advantage today over Potty as he played all last week in Washington and he will be tired.

Even if he does play I'd expect him to lose early - that was one knackered Nag in the third set (pathetically so really, he'd given up before the first point of it was played).
