That doesn't mean they're both words. I'm very confident pedanticism is not a word. I'll look it up in my mum's crossword dictionary if I can ever be bothered.

Well, English is an ever evolving language and anything widely used is soon included.

JK Rowling introduced the word 'stumped' into dictionaries I believe. wink

Quote

Powdered root of what to an infusion of what? Harry glanced at Ron, who looked as stumped as he was.

Its really fascinating to argue with fellow pedants. :P

ped·ant·ry [ pédd'ntree ] (plural ped·ant·ries)

noun

Definition:

pedantic attitude: a pedantic attitude or an example of pedantic behavior

Sorry, I'm a bit of a stickler for correct grammer. However saying as the only language I can speak is English I'm not going to start criticising the English of those for whom it isn't their first language. But just so you know, it is pedantry.

I didn't mean "Country is" and I didn't mean the other thing. I meant the plural.
Non taken, I don't mind, I'm glad you tell me. But it's just in Dutch, you write a noun that ends with a vowel with apostrophe S. I get often confused because in French it isn't and stuff confused Can be really hard sometimes.

But thanks for telling me. Does any moderater want to change it? Or can I do it somehow?

No actually, as "lol" is actually an abbreviation for "Laugh/Laughing Out Loud" and hence will not appear as a "word" in any dictionary. If it does then it is incorrect. It may well already appear in an abbreviations section. Smile
