I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Don't think so look at the H2H 9 to 1.

It's the awayness of it. Yes, Andy will probs win both singles if he plays. But it's going to hinge on winning the dubs.

I really hope Andy will get to the Final again to defend his US Open title this year - will that be on the Monday?
Davis Cup starts on the following Friday of that week. Throw in jetlag with travelling to Croatia from the U.S. - plus maybe a change of surface? Eek!

If it's on clay even Andy might not win both rubbers.

I suspect it will be on Clay in Umag.

Being so close to the USO final isn't the best timing is it? Assuming Andy gets that far in Flushing Meadows.....Please God, let him retain his title! It wouldn't give Andy long to prepare. The change of surface, assuming it happens, could be awkward as well. I'm sure Andy would do his best to be ready though.

Then again, Cilic could implode, which he sort of does against Andy, even if it takes him a while, and Dodig might not relish another encounter. We'll see.

Thanks for that Angie. I suspect Leon would be happier with a somewhat tired and underprepared Andy in his squad than not having him at all.

No probs Smile yeah its certainly going to be tight for Andy to recover in time if he does what we all hope and retain his title. After last years final he was so knackered he couldn't make the Olympic parade in Glasgow - and that was also on the Friday.

Maybe  not having the Olympics in between Wimbledon and the US open will make a difference.
