And Annie you're so lucky!! I'll be able to learn to drive in about 8 months...!! Not that it helps. no

Doubt i will be able to get down to Eastbourne. Doesn't help that we're in North London either. Think

Well if it helps, and if you're allowed to and can get some friends to go or something.... there is a train that goes from central london (Victoria station i think..) that goes to Eastbourne!

But if i can go it'll be soooo amazing - i''ve never been to a live sporting event! bounce_everyone

I did a small search on Google and found that solo flights can be made from 16! http://www.flyni.co.uk/m_faq.asp

That's cool.... but i think that might be just 'Microlights' whatever they may be...... but they don't look like 'proper' planes Wink

You can have a PPL (private pilot's Licence) at the age of 16 for Light aircraft basically. Microlights i'm almost sure u can fly at any age........will check.

Edit: Okay, just discovered you can have a NPPL (National private pilot;s licence- introduced in 2002) To fly light aircraft and microlights purely for recreational use. The PPL still exists but has slighty harder examinations with instrumental readings being included for those vising to go on to commercial flying. The NPPL is purely visual only.

As for ages, u can fly from 14 in a microlight dual. (younger as long as your not in control at all) 16 you can fly solo and get a licence from 17.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

=D> not too bad at flight simulator games myself. had the odd fuel-low crash downs though, part of the fun.  :P
