First of all, he is so NOT gorgeous! Come on, when he takes off his shirt, you can go on safari there! :P

And I think the way you guys don't understand me and Josh, we don't understand how you (99% of the tennisfans Rolling Eyes) can like him.
It's just something we will never get from each other... And I stand by my opinion!!!  =;

Have to agree with Laura.  Most times abroad I feel so ignorant - it seems everyone can speak English, whereas we Brits struggle to deal with the basics in any language.  Quite frankly I feel ashamed.  Embarassed

I have very basic French and a few phrases of Spanish.  Perhaps I will make it my mission to learn another language to the full...  Think

 notworthy Thank you so much! I try my best not to dishonour the English language! And I love it so much. Thank you again hug

Elly, don't worry, you should hear me speak French, that's a nightmare! Wink But I do know a lot of tenses and enough vocabulary to find my way around France. Unfortunately, my pronunciation is really bad. If I ever see the guy who invented French, I'm going to kill him Wink

Dentie - So I think I'm right that your language is Flemish?  Does that derive from another main language, or am I now just being ignorant?  I studied linguistics and should know better...  Whistle

Yes, in Belgium we speak Dutch, French and German. I live in the Flemisch-speaking Belgium. You're not being ignorant, you can't know that Smile So my language is Dutch, but it's distorted, if you learn Dutch, you won't understand us. Only if we speak general Dutch. no That's a shame...

Did I make it any clearer or are you now even more confused? Very Happy

Ow yes, and there's a difference between the Dutch they speak at the Netherlands and our Dutch. Only in pronunciation and in the words they use...
I'm bad at explaining things! Wink

no You are not bad at explaining at all Dentie.  It's hard for us Brits/Scots to appreciate the complexity of language when it doesn't affect us.  I had no idea that so many different languages existed in Belgium..  goodjob

3 actually Smile With every single one of them violated by the ones who speak it #-o  pullhair I just cringe when people write mistakes in Dutch! I know, it's a difficult language to learn by outsiders but come on, we were born here! no

I think that's different in Great-Britain... Your schoolsystem encourages to speak English properly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that you have far more respect for your language than Belgians do dontknow
