Congrats CLAYGOAT, Ferru gave his all played well in patches but Rafa was too good today, he stepped it up when it mattered.

I'm a bit gutted, but was silly for hoping David will win, oh well David did really well and shouldnt be embarrased about anything, won 2x as many games Fed did vs Nadal in 2008 and played wonderful all week...luv ya Ferru!!

Can't wait to see Andy again really hope he lifts next 2 GSs and would LOVE him to beat Rafa on the way!!

I think the players are pretty safe as long as they're not court off guard like Seles was. It's not going to be hard for a professional tennis player to avoid somebody coming at them, and if somebody were genuinely coming at them with something like a knife I would like to see them take on Rafa when he has a tennis racket in his hands.

Here we go, comms saying he might win most slams ever if he stays fit blah blah blah, the usualy garbage because *feign surprise* Nadal has a brilliant clay season again, come to Wimbledon Rafa and then the Hardcourt season, go bite your precious French open trophy and enjoy the spotlight while it lasts.

Total bummer! Frown  I switched off the minute the match finished.  Couldn't bear to watch the bumpicker exercising his teeth on the trophy yet again.  I had hoped Daveed would take a set off him but sadly he just isn't at that level.  Also I felt slightly sick when Nick Mullins started his eulogising about Nadal.  Can't they see through the man for what he really is?

I bet that incident will get them all twittering down at SW19, although, as Courier said, the security men were onto the nutter very quickly.  Things definitely improved anyway after Monica Seles got stabbed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nadal ends up with the most GS titles. He is the real GOAT in my opinion. I really wouldn't rule him out of the other grandslams.

Don't know if 5 titles is within him before his knees finally give up but I agree with the latter point. His record against the rest of the top 4 is phenomenal - by far the best.

Federer funnily enough has a losing record to Murray, a horrible record to Nadal and only a slightly positive H2H v Djokovic. And yet despite a poor record against his only actual competitors in his entire career, he's seen as the GOAT because he won a dozen Slams when competing with the likes of Roddick, Hewitt and Philippoussis?

I think Djokovic could well surpass both of their Slam titles. When they all retire there won't be a lot in it in terms of Slams won.

I don't like Rafa very much, but I never thought I'd see him with the number on the back of his shoes. Doesn't that make him look up himself? Like when Fed had a trophy put on his shoes?  Rolling Eyes
