This exhibition looks like it might be quite good, there are 12 players broken into 2 teams of 6 one playing for Guinot and one for Mary Cohr, Rafa and Roger are down for this event as well as Andy, it's on from 20-22 May, the website is in French though and I can only understand bits and pieces from it, the address is www.guinotmarycohrmasters.com if there are any good French speakers.

My A-level French tells me that each player is playing one match each and they are split into two teams. I guess the team with the most wins from the 6 matches is the winner but that just adds a bit of meaning to the exhibition - it's just the opportunity for a decent match in Paris the week before RG.

Murray vs Mathieu, Wednesday, 12:30pm UK time!

And it's on Eurosport so I can see it too  yay  I would have thought Nadal would have been needing a bit of a break before RG, especially as his knee was bothering him during the match with Novak.

I guess Nadal will take it as easy as possible and just treat it as a practice match - that's essentially what this is, although with it being televised and an open tournament, he might feel he has to take it more seriously.

I see Gael Monfils is going to be playing, so he must be ready for Roland Garros.

Their website is an absolute shambles and the OOP keeps changing because Nalbandian pulled out and apparently Nishikori has pulled out of RG so they have to find someone else. According to VB.com:

Quote
20 05 2009
13:30 Andy Murray / Paul-Henri Mathieu
Followed by Gaël Monfils / Marcos Baghdatis

21 05 2009
13:30 Roger Federer / Stanislas Wawrinka
Followed by Rafael Nadal / Arnaud Clement

22 05 2009
13:30 Kei Nishikori / Tommy Haas
Followed by Marat Safin /James Blake

Should be okay for Rafa - similar conditions to RG so it's a good warm up and he's no longer playing Fed, thank **** nervous

Not looking good for Monfils for RG he got bagelled in one set by Baggy yesterday.  Does anyone know what the score was between Roger and Stan?  Nadal and Clement are warming up now.
