Henman To retier Before Wimbeldon

Quote

Henman is seriously in danger of not being seeded at Wimbeldon. With his ranking at a dismal 56, his worst in a decade may i add. I really can't see him making a return to the green green grass. Henman wants to be in the top 30 at least. He does not want to be languishing in the top 50. His retirment is invertable and is decsion is made easy for him with the current situation that he is in.

im not 2 sure about this one... on his web site he keeps saying how he is not bothered about his rankings and who is is drawen agaist but i think he will have to strat being bothered because he is just goind to drop down even more.. he is saying how he is playing well at the moment and fair enough he is playin well but its obvious not well enough to win his matches

I don't think he'll retire before Wimbledon, why did he even start his year if he would...

I think he will retire if and when he has to start playing qualifiers for Grand Slams (and maybe even too many masters) as well as depending on how he does this year at wimbly

Why? It's not like he's a threat to anyone. I wish he was, but he isn't. I hope he can Wimbledon, but he isn't.
Is it a personal thing or do you just think it's time for him to step back?

I think Henman should look at Agassi and if possible even speak with him. Tim should not retire and he will come back.

y ? he has been british tennis for 10 years + and just becasue he is going through a rough patch poeple turn on him ?  i dont think that is fair .  shocking  No, I don't think that Henman will retire before Wimbledon and I'll be very surprised if he does.  Like Rochelle said, he's not worried about his ranking at the moment, he's trying to concentrate on playing injury free.  If and when he does retire, it'll be a very sad day for British tennis, and I for one will miss him immensely!  He's done a great deal for British tennis and gets very little recognition for this sometimes.  Unless more British players like Andy come through the rankings, Andy will find himself in Tim's shoes in a couple of years - the hopes and dreams of all of Britian on one man's shoulders - not something that anyone should be burdened with.
