Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

Me too and he's becoming more and more insufferable (if that's possible). Trouble is I really enjoy his tennis. Pity he hasn't got the personality to go with it. The look on his face during these kind of matches is enough to turn milk sour. Urghhh!

It looked like he was drinking sour milk as Andy outplayed him!

I thought Fed played well. Just what he did wasn't working. He's not used to that, so I suppose he's not going to take kindly to it.
There was a nicer exchange at the end than I've seen from Fed for a while. He did seem to crack a smile and concede with better grace.
I was disappointed not to see the trophy ceremony, though.

I never watch the trophy ceremonies, so that was okay with me ... seems to me the only time he is "marginally okay" about losing is when he loses to Nadal.
Interestingly enough, Marcus (the Talking Head) said OUT LOUD that he had heard that Mirka goes in to see Federer if play gets rained off, and, if he is not doing as well as he ought to, she gives him a bollocking. He asked Fleming if he had heard this and Fleming said .... NEVER HEARD THAT .... and pulled the duct tape back across his mouth. Ooooooooooh .... did Marcus talk out of turn ...

I didn't like the way he hogged the limelight when speaking to the crowd - gave Andy a perfuctory acknowledgment of credit and then spent ages thanking every Tom, Dick and Harry for making the tournament so perfect for HIM.

I didn't see that, Aileen, but it doesn't surprise me. I just hope Andy has the chance to do likewise. Not that I think he would. He's just not like that.

I was watching on the ATP live-streaming website. I gather Sky didn't show it. Shame on them.

Federer did not look too happy when Murray said' hopefully I can beat you in the final of the US Open'

Well, it's not exactly a nice thing to say "hope you lose to me" now is it?

I didn't see him say it, but I can imagine he had a humble smile on his face at the time.

It'd be extremely inflammatory and unprofessional if it was said in anything other than jest ....
