But tards will be tards and trolls will be trolls, innit. why should they be taken seriously?

I don't take them seriously Smile and i don't hop onto forums to laugh at them, it's more of an inward chuckle to myself.

Just a chuckle? Mine was a dirty great laugh last night.

Mind you, we shouldn't poke fun at them at the moment. There's really no fun in it when it's too easy.

Now there I agree with you. BTW we had an exchange about Berdych the other day. As a result of the Rally Against Cancer I have warmed a little towards him. Watching him, is it possible that some of his foot in mouth stuff comes from simply being shy.
I still have to watch that match, but I have seen an off-court interview with Berdy and he came across as a really decent, unassuming guy, so I suppose we shouldn't read too much into their on-court  persona - something we, as Murray fans, should be aware of by now.  The problem with Fed is that even off-court he still comes across as an arrogant pr*ck.

Andy played robredo - a clay courter. Andy's bound to look good against him. am sure Federer in his days took care of the likes Robredo just as easily.

Andy's great on grass of course. hope he goes on to win many Wimbledon.

Some insightful stats I found (I posted them on another thread)

Federer only has a career record of 27% service games won, 44th on the all-time list *cough* not the GOAT *cough*
Nadal however is in 2nd with 33% return games won, and also 12th on the list with 85% of service games won. Cleary the real GOAT.
Federer is 6th on service games won with 88%.

Interestingly I cannot find any direct stats for total career game percentage wins. So I have took upon myself to calculate them. This is surely the best stat there is for determining the most consistent players that have played.

Here are the results:

Rank Player Games Won Games Played Percentage Games Won

1 Rafael Nadal 10232 15985 64.01%
2 Novak Djokovic 8598 13573 63.35%
3 Guillermo Coria 4230 6725 62.90%
4 Andre Agassi 12163 19348 62.86%
5 Andy Murray 7211 11557 62.40%
6 Michael Chang 10445 16831 62.06%
7 David Ferrer 9761 15751 61.97%
8 Thomas Muster 7877 12750 61.78%
9 Stefan Edberg 6280 10173 61.73%
10 Roger Federer 15547 25192 61.71%
11 Lleyton Hewitt 10645 17356 61.33%
12 Sergi Bruguera 7122 11632 61.23%
13 Ivan Lendl 3350 5523 60.66%
14 Alberto Berasategui 5603 9239 60.65%
15 Nikolay Davydenko 9539 15740 60.60%
16 David Nalbandian 7359 12150 60.57%
17 Jim Courier 7815 12960 60.30%
18 Magnus Gustafsson 6477 10747 60.27%
19 Pete Sampras 11962 19865 60.22%
20 Marcelo Rios 6814 11319 60.20%

I am somewhat rather liking the fact that Andy has won the higher percentage of the games he has played in his career than Federer has in his :D

But it clearly goes to show that Federer obviously wins more the games in the set that matter, and in the tournaments that matter.

The top 4's H2H against each other tells the real story in terms of the GOAT. I've never understood how Federer can be classed as the greatest of all time if he isn't even the greatest in this era. He won 2/3 of his grand slams when there were no other greats to compete with.

But it clearly goes to show that Federer obviously wins more the games in the set that matter, and in the tournaments that matter.

The flaw with this is that it doesn't take into account the opposition. Ferrer's nobody's idea of a GOAT, yet he figures highly because he vultures 250s against lower-ranked opposition.

Yes, I worked out a H2H of the Big Four not long back. It's on this site somewhere. I believe Federer was third (and for a lot of the matches vs the other three, he was winning when they were just emerging out of the juniors, remember).

Federer has a losing record against two of the three and could well end up with a deficit vs Djokovic, too. Also, as I say, many of his wins were achieved when the other three were just establishing themselves in the pro ranks.
